About Us

A pet behavior consultant with over thirty years experience, George Quinlan has worked with all kinds of animals. His career has led him to work with large and wild animals, to study wolves and coyotes - even to train asian elephants! As a Zookeeper, George also worked with large predator cats and bears as well as with primates. In private practice since 1985, George has dedicated himself to teaching individuals and families to have the best possible relationship with their dogs.

George has written extensively for both the general public and for other animal behavioral professionals. He has traveled throughout the country and Europe speaking at seminars and teaching his humane and effective training methods to others.

George is a member of the Association of Pet Behavior Counselors and the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors. He is a certified Animal Assisted Crisis Response Team member and Evaluator, and volunteers his time with local emergency services.

"In thirty-two years of helping people with behavior problems, I have yet to find anyone like George. His dedication to finding the causes for misbehavior before treatment begins is rare, especially when others rush to apply quick fixes, most of which do more harm than good. One of the benchmarks of professionalism in the animal behavior field is the consultant's attention to the relationship between owners and their dogs. George knows how to identify problems in the dog/owner bond and then consult in ways that owners find both motivating and effective. Any veterinarian or other professional who refers to George is placing the client 'in good hands'."
